The Research Park at Marina Village - Alameda, CA
Local Capital Group acquired Marina Village, a waterfront portfolio of life science and office buildings in Alameda, CA in May 2019. In August 2019, Local subsequently acquired the Wind River Campus, an adjacent office park to Marina Village. Combined, the Research Park at Marina Village represents a total 1.4M sq ft, of which 950K sq ft is life science. The remaining buildings are dedicated to office. The campus consists of 31 waterfront buildings with direct access to the bay.
The Research Park at Marina Village competes as a thriving life science hub with best-in-class amenities rivaling other core hubs throughout the Bay Area. Our buildings provide clear span floor to ceiling height up to 15 ft, speculative interiors with existing casework, clean rooms and fume hoods, on-site redundant power capacity and customizable space planning. Transportation is another driver of demand for the campus with two tenant slips, private BART shuttle and a 6 minute drive to Jack London Square, connecting with SF Ferry and Amtrak. The campus was rebranded though a thoughtful program which includes enhanced amenities at The Retreat, an on-site tenant amenity center.
